Create/Edit Content -- General Instructions for All/Most Types

Every content type has at least two fields of information that will be displayed to your visitors, these fields are generally labeled as Title and Body. Title is the Headline and Body is the main part of the content. It is possible that these fields will have different labels, but their meaning should be obvious, still.

The title should be interesting, it should grab your visitors attention and let them know what the article is about. Try to keep these as short as possible and still convey the thought of the story.

The body can be as long as you want and contains the main content of the article. Try to hook your visitor in the first paragraph and make them want to read the rest. Use the "Split summary at cursor" button, you can find it above the field on the right side, to split the body into a teaser and the rest of the story. If this is an article, only the teaser will be shown on the home or news page, with a link to the rest of the story.

Some sites are setup with a static page as the home page, with a menu item that takes the visitor to a "News" page that displays the teasers for articles. On other sites, the home page is the news page.
